Description

Confession : An Irish tragicomedy in two acts

Fresh from a recent Irish tour of the third season of his "Purgatory; archaic" short plays, Luke Corcoran returns to Dublin this time presenting a world premiere of his first full-length play "Confession : An Irish tragicomedy in two acts"

Here's some snippets from Liam Murphy's review of that tour, theatre critic for The Munster Express.

"I laughed more than I would have thought possible this afternoon at the work of Waterford born playwright Luke Corcoran in Central Arts. ... Corcoran and his actors excelled in a comedy style that I haven’t seen all that much of, but it was hilarious, quirky, and full on when it needed."

"This was a tonic and a half and restored my faith in acting as entertainment."

"Corcoran has a fresh and quirky comedic take on theatrical situations"

"Luke Corcoran writes comedy well and I look forward to seeing a comedy show of his on television one day. Yep, he is that good"

THE PLAY

After asking for help to run the parish, Father Schillaci is training in a new priest, Father Donnelly, who will take over in his stead. In this vivid drama of blood lust and desire you begin to discover horrible things about the poeple in this town. Father Donnelly is trying to find the root of this sinful behaviour when he meets the retired Americian movie star and femme fatale Heather Jones.
