Conference Objectives:

Of late, many innovative technologies and methods are being used in the classrooms in order to enhance the learning experience of students. Technology, of course, is very helpful in enhancing the teaching, learning and grasping abilities of the students’ community.

Teaching in the Digital Era!

In this digital era, science and technology have brought about significant changes in the traditional methods of teaching with many innovative technology-based teaching methods. It is quite interesting in this context to note that over 76% parents and teachers and students access to curriculum materials and text-books online for use at home. Further, research reports reveal that a little over 77% of teachers use internet for instruction in the classroom. Use of laptops and other gadgets have increased over the years both in elementary and higher educational institutions. More specifically, use of computers in the classroom, creating class websites/blogs, use of mobile devices, use of interactive white-boards, online study tools and online media are also increasingly used in classrooms, today.

Preparing for the future!

To catch up with the emerging trends, students should acquire the much-needed technological skills as, in a way, it helps them prepare for their future employment. Wide-spread use of technology has made significant transformations in the way students acquire the skillsets and how teachers teach in the classroom. It is also quite interesting to note that technology enhances the retention-rate of students and help them continuing and completing their education, by and large, within the prescribed time-frame. Further, students can learn at their own pace with the support of technology. More particularly, concepts such as Content Management Systems (CMS) and Flipped Learning methods have helped the students to learn and achieve the module learning objectives in a phased and ultra-modern way.
