Description

RESCHEDULED TO NOVEMBER 16!

This conference will focus on developing functional social communication skills in children and adults with autism spectrum disorder who are non-vocal or minimally vocal. These skills are critical to success at home, in school, at work and in the community.

We are pleased to announce that Tracy Vail, MS, SLP, will be the presenter for the Autism Society of North Carolina’s third annual fall conference at the Odeon Theater at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.

Ms. Vail brings more than 30 years of experience in working with individuals on the autism spectrum to the conference.

Registration closes Monday, November 12 at 10 p.m.

Join us to learn:

  • How to select the most appropriate form of communication to match the individual needs of each learner
  • Research-based strategies for teaching communication
  • How to use some of the more popular speech-generating devices and applications

The conference will also feature:

  • Morning coffee
  • Lunch
  • Opportunities to speak with Autism Society of NC staff
  • Chance to network with area families affected by autism
  • ASNC Bookstore

Certificates of attendance are available.
