Research and publishing are becoming increasingly complex; grant requirements are expanding to include data and preservation plans; more emphasis is given to measuring research impact beyond citations counts; digital resources make exposing your research easier, but make it harder to rise above the vast amount of research output and be discovered. Stay ahead of the newest developments in research with a day of practical, academically-focused sessions hosted by information professionals at AU Library. Conference for High Impact Research offers teaching faculty a convenient and condensed day of learning opportunities, addressing issues such as metrics, managing your scholarly identity, research impact and placement, as well as new techniques and tools in research.

These sessions concentrate on planning, constructing, disseminating, and maximizing the impact of your research. As a part of the Library’s mission to support a full range of intellectual endeavors, we invite you to learn more about applying for grants, finding and working with collaborators from other institutions, managing your public persona, writing abstracts, and preserving your data. Conference for High Impact Research will be held May 15 2017, specifically to help you prepare for the summer research break and will offer four tracks, each with four sessions, and a plenary luncheon. Share knowledge with grant funding experts, information professionals from AU Library, and colleagues at this day-long event. Connect with your Library subject specialist and enjoy learning about furthering your impact with your peers.

Visit www.american.edu/library/chir for session descriptions and registration information.
