Conference Elder abuse, Ageism and Human Rights: Innovative Approaches
The focus of this conference is on new ways of conceptualising and preventing elder abuse. It will explore ‘generational intelligence’ as a response to ageism; culture and loneliness in the context of elder abuse and the empowerment of older people through the activation of their human rights.
The conference will also offer an opportunity for attendees to examine sociodrama as a medium for addressing social issues. The Sociodrama, Tackling Ageism, Preventing Abuse (S.T.Age) workshops for older people and staff in care settings will be showcased.
