What happens at a CoNee G? You name it! This May 14 we have candidates for local office coming to meet you and much more!
About this event
A cooperative neighborhood gathering is all about community building in democratic, sustainable, supportive, and fun ways!
Come to Dimond Park on May 14 for all of the following and more!
- Candidates for local office, like Oakland mayor, city council, and school board, will be there to meet you!
- A public speaking club, Toastmasters, will be on hand to invite folks to form a neighborhood group! Opportunities will be available for adults and youth!
- The Sunrise Movement, an environmental youth movement, will be offering chalk art for environmental education.
- A neighbor family will be inviting conversation about home electrification.
- Friends of the Dimond Library will be on hand to meet you.
- One of our neighbors will be holding a book swap! Bring books! Take books home!
- Oakland's own Roasted & Raw will be providing delicious, healthy, vegetarian food courtesy of the Oakland Police Department. Yep, OPD's going to feed you!
We have other exciting ideas that we are still pursuing. There will be much more come May 14!
