About this event
Before electricity was invented, residents of Morris-Jumel Mansion would have used candles to light their way in the house. On Family Day, children and their adults will be able to make their own handmade candle in our 18th-Century Kitchen. Families will have their choice of wax color and scents.
This program is free with registration; all Family Day guests will receive free admission to the Mansion during the event. One candle per guest; registration for one ticket reserves one candle jar. Please register for the total number of people in your party who will be making a candle. Masks are required for all visitors over the age of two. Thank you for helping us to keep our museum community safe.
