Description

Getting the work done is one thing; getting it done well requires clear expectations, consistent focus, ongoing review, and adjustment to changing conditions. The ‘performance review’ aspect is crucial – both informal and formal. As a key supervisor responsibility, it is integral to employee success. With the Annual Evaluation period in mind, this session provides an overview of evaluation processes and techniques that support successful work.

Objectives:

  • Understand how to support success through an ongoing Performance Cycle
  • Consider how to prepare and conduct an effective Annual Evaluation
  • Identify methods to keep track of performance to make Annual Evaluation easier
  • Consider effective ways to provide feedback to develop performance
  • Recognize informal and formal processes to address performance problems

Target Audience: Supervisors of STAFF employees. While Labor supervisors can also benefit, the primary focus of the session will be on providing effective evaluation for staff employees.
