With 40 years of extensive study and research and the experience of working with thousands of people from various backgrounds and cultures, we've curated the best meditation techniques from different traditions around the world into a 5-level program. Our specialized training caters to the modern, busy, urban individual seeking to reduce stress and mental agitation, bringing focus, calm, vitality and joy to the mind and body.

Participation in the retreat includes benefits which help students integrate the teachings into their daily lives:

Level 1. Learning to Meditate.

Saturday October 29th and Sunday October 30th

Here, the focus is RELAXATION and HARMONY.

The main topics are:

  • Preparing the body for meditation

  • The basics of meditation

  • The history of meditation

  • The importance of the 5 elements and how to balance them internally to increase personal balance

  • The breathing techniques to balance the prana (vital force) and obtain meditative energy

  • Tools and strategies to balance the 3 centers of meditation: body, heart and mind.

Level 2. The Heart of Meditation


Monday October 1st and Tuesday November 1st

Here, the focus is HOW TO TRANSFORM THE EMOTIONS INTO ENERGY AND AWARENESS. This means how to purify our negative emotions and transform them into peace.

The main topics are:

  • Development of emotional awareness

  • Understanding the dynamic of emotions and transforming them into meditative energy

  • Cutting emotional reactions that generate suffering

  • Relating to difficult situations through the space of openness and receptivity that meditation brings

  • Cultivating love, kindness and compassion

The benefits are:

  • Increasing self-knowledge and deepening the connection to your emotions

  • Learning how to redirect the emotions in a creative way

  • Harmonizing relationships and going deeper into them

  • Experiencing fulfillment and inner peace

  • Vibrating in a higher level of love, openness and joy



About the Instructor:

AMYATARI ANA M. ECHEVERRY is a psychologist holding a degree in French and Modern Literature by the Sorbonne University – Paris, France. Having practiced meditation since the age of 14, she has traveled through Europe, Asia and America to receive direct teachings from great Masters. These teachings are from several traditions: Mahayana Buddhism, Dzogchen and the ancient Tibetan Bon. Other meditative practices include Kashmir Shaivism, Vedanta, Zen and Chan. She is also the Director and co-founder of the Condor Blanco's Meditation School.




Practical.

We recommend checking-in on Friday October 28th so that you can join us for the Tea Reception.

Level 1 will start on Saturday morning and end on Sunday, October 30th, at 5:30 p.m.

Level 2 will start on Monday morning and end on Tuesday, November 1st, at 5:30 p.m.

Accommodations.

Participants can choose the room which fits their budget and desired level of comfort. Private accommodations with in-suite bathrooms are available, as well as shared rooms for 2 with a bathroom in the hall. If you decide to share, the Institute will match you with someone of the sex who is also participating in the program.

All food, which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, is $30 per day. This is paid directly to the Himalayan Institute
