On April 24, 2022 we close out the season with the East Coast premiere of Seven Pillars by Andy Akiho. Described as "trailblazing" by the LA Times, composer Andy Akiho brings rhythmic nuance and complexity to his compositions that I find both intoxicating and irresistible. The first-rate percussion ensemble, Sandbox, comes to us from Brooklyn to reveal this awesome work and share their supernatural powers in all that is percussion. Fun fact: Andy composed Pillar II while staying at Cradle Valley Farm in Solebury!
