CONCORA 2018-2019 SEASON

Handel - Messiah
Friday, November 30, 2018, 7:30pm
St. James's Episcopal Church, West Hartford CT
CONCORA opens the 2018-2019 season with one of the icons of the choral repertoire, Handel's Messiah. The first performance of this work, held in Dublin in 1742, was a much smaller-scale affair than is typically produced in our era. CONCORA will be joined by an intimate instrumental ensemble, as we reflect those original forces in our performance, the first CONCORA has presented in several years.

Membra Jesu Nostri

Trinity College Chapel, Hartford CT
Snow Date: February 11, 2019 7:30pm
CONCORA returns to Trinity College Chapel, where the ensemble has performed sold-out programs in each of the last three seasons. We offer Buxtehude's otherworldly reflection on Christ's crucifixion, Membra Jesu Nostri.

Bach - Weimar Cantatas
Sunday, March 24, 2019, 4:00pm
Immanuel Congregational Church, Hartford CT
CONCORA has long been renowned for its masterful and moving performances of choral music by Johann Sebastian Bach. This season, we perform three of his best-known Weimar cantatas, all composed in 1714.
