Event description

Description

Lynn Hollyfield is the kind of artist who captures the journey through the world in song. Her award-winning songwriting (Mid-Atlantic, UK, International Songwriting Contests) has a ‘universal feel’ that speaks to the heart. Climb into her songs and you’ll find love, connection, remembrance and hope rolled into beautiful melodies and guitar work. Her music continues to expand over genres of contemporary folk, blues, pop and a touch of jazz.

Lynn’s alluring, soothing vocal delivery (Multiple Washington Area Music Association nominations for Best Contemporary Folk Vocalist) and her welcoming, warm stage presence are known to draw audiences in. Lynn’s guitar chops, vocals, and writing have been placed into the ‘triple’ threat category. Her two recordings Layers (2010) and In the Balance (2014) were well received and place in the TOP albums on the FOLK DJ-listserv. Both continue to receive airplay nationally and internationally. Lynn is currently working on her next recording.

Lynn will be accompanied by her band~daughter Keely Hollyfield-exquisite harmony vocals, Dave Abe-violin, mandolin and pennywhistle and Jimmy Brink, percussion. She'll be sharing some newly written tunes along with some of her tried and true and choice covers. www.lynnhollyfield.com
