Description

What is the Walk Out of Poverty? Concern America's 23rd Annual Walk Out of Poverty is a five-mile walk at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley, CA. Funds raised bring trained health care practitioners, education, and clean water systems to impoverished communities in Latin America.

  1. Register: Early-bird registration is $25. After March 13, registration is $35. Children 5 and under always walk for free, but must still register!

  2. Set a Goal: Any amount counts! The average walker raises $100, enough to provide a person with clean water for 25 years. But don't stop there! $250 provides a year of medical training for a community health Practitioner. $1,000 enables full medical training for that Practitioner, becoming a village's only health care provider.

  3. Fundraise: Invite your family members, coworkers, schoolmates, and more to support by giving through your online page or by checks and cash. We encourage you to raise at least $100.

  4. Walk: On Saturday, April 4, arrive at 6:45 am at Holy Spirit Church in Fountain Valley. Check in, get a snack, and pick up your t-shirt! We begin the five-mile walk at 7:30 am.
