Event Details

Inspired by the Eames’ video, "Powers of 10”, CONCEPT is taking a levels-approach when it comes to the theme of sustainability. Each speaker represents a level of what sustainability is and how it can be applied in the field of design and business. We’ll start with a zoomed out, global view considering systems and how designers play a role in them. As we zoom in, we’ll get different perspectives on how designers can incorporate sustainable practices, materials, and data in their design work. Students will walk away with a broader view of what sustainability means as well as knowing current applications and methods they can apply to their own projects.
