Nominations are being accepted for the following awards:

Award: Emerging Leader The Emerging Leader Award is given to an individual who has been involved in the transportation industry for fewer than 5 years. This award is presented to an individual who, throughout their affiliation with COMTO Atlanta, has demonstrated extraordinary competence in a chosen transportation-related field by developing and improving their leadership skills and illustrates a strong commitment to the transportation field and community. The individual deserving of this award is one who is inspired to implement self-improvement initiatives and who positively impacts and influences other COMTO Atlanta members and industry peers. The recipient clearly demonstrates a commitment to COMTO's vision, and the transportation industry and community, through extraordinary leadership.

Award: Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Firm of the Year The Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Firm of the Year award recognizes HUBs that have demonstrated a strong commitment to the field of transportation and extraordinary competence in a chosen transportation-related field. The recipient of this award is a HUB that demonstrates its support of COMTO’s mission, is actively engaged in COMTO Atlanta and the surrounding community. The recipient of this award must be a certified DBE, WBE, SBE, or MBE.

Award: Corporate Sponsor of the Year (nominee must be a COMTO Atlanta corporate sponsor with one or more staff persons with membership) This award recognizes a corporate sponsor who has significantly supported COMTO Atlanta through its financial support and involvement of its staff in chapter programs, events, and activities. The recipient of this award has demonstrated its commitment to advancing minorities in the transportation industry and promotes professional development, diversity, and inclusion.

Award: Thomas G. Neusom Founders' Leadership The Thomas G Neusom Founders' Leadership Award is the highest honor bestowed by COMTO. It honors public and private transportation executives and policymakers responsible for the direction and operation of their agency or organization and who, through their affiliation with COMTO, have made outstanding contributions towards the growth and development of people of color within the transportation industry and have given continued and outstanding service and leadership to the organization.

Award: Gerald Anderson Member of the Year Award (nominee must be a COMTO Atlanta member) The Gerald Anderson Member of the Year award was established to recognize a COMTO member who has demonstrated commitment to the philosophy that the success of one is contingent upon the success of all. This is award is COMTO's way of recognizing good service and the value of teamwork within the transportation industry and is given to ensure growth and development within the industry and community.

Award: Trailblazer Woman of the Year

Recognizes a woman leader (trailblazer) in metro Atlanta who has shown outstanding leadership and has demonstrated her commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and the advancement of minorities and HUB in the transportation industry.

Award: Trailblazer Man of the Year

Recognizes a man leader (trailblazer) in metro Atlanta who is a visionary, serves as a role model, displays outstanding leadership skills and has contributed significantly to the advancement of minorities and HUBS in the transportation industry.

Award: Trailblazer Employer of the Year

Recognizes a metro Atlanta employer who is leading the way in recruiting minorities into the transportation industry. This employer is committed to diversifying their organization and providing equitable opportunity for their employers to grow and advance.
