Event description

Description

You are cordially invited to participate in an invite-only free workshop for middle school and high school math teachers. This workshop is centered around "Learning by Modding": a new paradigm to bring problem solving and computational thinking skills to your classes. You will become equipped to design your own Learning by Modding sessions in your classes. You will implement algorithms for a set of attractive and fun problems in a casual, digital algorithmic playground called Polyup. Polyup is a free digital resource for math teachers allowing them to introduce problem solving skills to students in areas such as arithmetics, order of operations, sequences and series, functions, mathematical logic, and algorithms.

Coaches:

* Prof. Yahya Tabesh, Polyup
* Cathy Williams, Director, youcubed at Stanford University
* Dr. Amir Zarkesh, Polyup
* Shaya Zarkesh, The Harker School and Polyup
