Complicated Grief: A workshop for professionals

We are proud to offer a day-long workshop with Columbia University’s Dr. Katherine Shear, founder of The Center for Complicated Grief.
Complicated grief is a debilitating and often misdiagnosed, and misunderstood condition. This training will focus on how to identify and evaluate people with complicated grief, how to understand what they are experiencing, and how to facilitate natural processes of adaptation to loss. Dr. Shear will introduce the principles and procedures in complicated grief treatment.
This workshop is aimed at professionals and graduate students working with those who are grieving - Medical Social Workers, MSW students, MFTs, and psychotherapists.
6.5 CEUs are available for MSWs,MFTs, RNs, and Chaplains, cost is included in the workshop charge.
Lunch is provided through the generosity of Home Instead, one of our community partners.
