"Compliance and Managing Risk in a Constantly Changing World"
For real estate practitioners, federal rules and only part of the challenge: state and local regulations are also increasing. Taken together, there are approximately 350.
Your personal responsibility means that you are incompliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, standards and rules of conduct. A violation can be punished in a number of ways, from a letter of warning or reprimand all the way to suspending your license, imposing civil and criminal penalties and fines.
There is no business that operates without risk. It is an integral part of your company landscape. If you want to be in business in years’ time you have to ask three questions:
1. What are the worst things that could happen to me?
2. How likely are they to happen?
3. Am I taking the right steps to prevent them?
This course section will help you identify risks and prevent them from taking place. It then shows what steps you should take in the event of a crisis.
