Complex Reasoning Cohort #1: Sept. 26, Oct. 24, & Nov. 16 in Hampden, Maine...
Mon, Sep 26, 2016, 8:30 AM – Wed, Nov 16, 2016, 3:00 PM EDT
This Complex Reasoning Training is a 3-day learning opportunity that focuses on how to explicitly teach complex reasoning. It includes how to integrate the teaching of critical thinking with content knowledge and how critical thinking skills help us define proficiency. Teachers, Administrators, and Instructional Support Staff are encouraged to attend. Schools that are not members of the MCCL are welcome to send their teachers, administrators and instructional support staff.
Participants will learn how to teach each of the critical thinkings skills presented in Marzano & Pickering's Dimensions of Learning Teacher's Handbook and return to their classrooms to practice between our training dates.
There are two cohorts of this training scheduled. Cohort #1 in Hampden, Maine (Sept. 26, Oct. 24, & Nov. 16) and Cohort #2 in Lewiston, Maine (Sept. 27, Oct. 26, & Nov. 30). There are separate registration sites for each of these cohort events so please note which one you are registering for. MCCL members who have a certain number of free seats can split their total number of free seats between cohorts #1 and #2.
