Complete Your Streets—and Bring Back the Good Life
Complete Streets are streets for everyone. They are designed to enable safe access for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists of all ages and abilities. Complete Streets make it easy to cross the street, walk to shops, and bicycle to work. Even targeted improvements and policies for walkability can significantly improve quality of life, mobility, and safety in small communities.
Join Julie Harris of the Nebraska Bicycle Alliance and Jeremy Grandstaff of the Nebraska Walkable Communities Project for this must attend training, as we:
-
Gain a fuller understanding of the concepts and value of complete streets as well as how other communities have won such policies,
-
Create the beginnings of our own process that we can use to plan and implement complete streets in our communities; and,
-
Network with other community, government, and economic leaders from Sidney and across the state at this unique learning opportunity developed just for Nebraskans
Lunch and Light Snacks, coffee, tea, and water will be provided.
