Event description

Description

Dear Parents of Student-Athletes,

Each year, deserving high school student-athletes are left out of the recruiting process because themselves and their parents follow antiquated ideas of how the recruiting process works. Depending on well-intended, but often flawed advice from friends, relatives or even uninformed high school or club coaches, prospects and parents often assume that playing on a travel or club team, or receiving titles, such as All-Conference or All-State, will automatically get a player noticed by college coaches. This is not true. In fact, far from it. Recruiting today is specialized. It is not something anybody who watches ESPN, went to college twenty years ago, or coaches a team, can intimately know and keep up with. It moves too fast, changes too often, and requires too much attention.

:THINGS YOU WILL LEARN

  • The realities of college athletic recruiting

  • Top five steps every student-athlete should take to pursue sports in college

  • Why academics will play such a huge role in your student-athletes college opportunities

  • Key recruiting mistakes everyone makes

  • College coaches pet peeves about student-athletes and parents

  • Four recruiting facts you cannot ignore

  • Five things you can do to help your student-athletes get recruited

  • Discover ways to know if you're behind in the recruiting process

  • How your attitude can change your results

  • And much, much more
