Description

This Conference is for professionals or volunteers who already work with victims of childhood sexual abuse and/or perpetrators of such abuse and aims to:

Increase awareness of how compassion can help people overcome aspects of shame, self -criticism and emotional dysregulation.

Increase understanding and practice of core therapeutic skills related to compassion, including addressing poor integrative capacity (eg dissociation, mentalizing). 

The Facilitator:

Dr Angela Kennedy is a Consultant Psychologist with 26 years of NHS experience and currently works in Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.  She is Service Lead for a specialist intervention team working with people with complex presentations of psychosis and trauma histories.

Cost:
