About this event

Professional development is aimed at giving educational professionals tools to engage in compassion and self-care practices. Educators will learn about the long-term effects of burnout and secondary trauma. They will assess their own self-care strategies. They will learn tools and strategies to immediately implement in their lives.

  • Definition of compassion and self-care
  • Learn about secondary trauma and burnout
  • Elements of self-compassion
  • Wellness strategies
  • And more....

As an added bonus, you will receive access to a google doc with more tools to develop your every day practices and active skill building.

Your workshop facilitator, Jennifer Rogers, PhD, LPC, will provide you with relevant research in the field combined with practical applications to develop strategies that work for YOU. You will learn strategies to add to your toolbox when working with children and adolescents to start the school year off. The tools can be adapted to be used in distance learning, hybrid, or face-to-face educational environments.
