Community Centered Working Group Meeting 2019
November 7-8, 2019
St. John’s Episcopal Church
The “Community Centered” Working Group meeting invites participants from across the greater Youngstown region to actively engage in a two-day event November 7 and 8, 2019. The Youngstown region is at the beginning of important community-driven, social, economic and environmental transformations, that will drive our community forward for many decades to come. The resilient spirit of community members and regional agencies have been striving to establish an equitable and sustainable future of all the citizens of the region while aiming to attract new citizens and investments. Many significant initiatives taking place have seen limited recognition beyond their neighborhoods and the region. This meeting aims to share this work in a common forum so we can share ideas, thoughts, and visions to create a unified and progressive vision of the Valley and acknowledge that the landscape of Youngstown's future is changing is exciting ways. The meeting sets out to bring together a cross-section of forward-thinking, active citizens and agencies in a way to open up fresh new ideas and identify concerns that have not been fully recognized. We want you to consider attending, as your ideas, knowledge, and experiences need to be included in the making of a “New Valley”.
