Event description
Join us in the VIRTUAL Imaginarium for a physically distant creative writing workshop modeled after those held for our youth authors.

About this Event

At 916 Ink, we know that writing is an excellent coping tool for stress, anxiety, and all kinds of strong feelings - for kids, but also for grown-ups. Because of this, and because we all need some connection and joy right now, we're delighted to bring back March's adults' only write night (virtually).

TWO DATES IN APRIL: April 8 and April 22

Experience the whimsy of the 916 Ink way yourself at our monthly adults' only write night. Be a part of the same magical, word-filled, empowering atmosphere that youth experience in our workshops.

The virtual session will open at 6:00 pm. Pour yourself a glass of wine or sparkling non-alcoholic cider, fix that cheese plate, grab your favorite pen and notebook, and join us for an evening of of prompts, sparks, writing, and sharing.

What to expect: The 916 Ink workshop method is inspired by the Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) Method. Our Wordslinger (what we call the facilitator) first creates a safe space and sets the tone. Then, the Wordslinger presents unique and engaging prompts to spark your creativity. We will then all engage in solo writing time. Afterwards, each writer has a chance to share, and the rest of us give positive feedback, considering questions like: What do we like? What stays with us?
