About Howard Vlieger:
Since 1989, Howard has been a “student of the Soil” crop nutrition advisor and educator to farmers, researchers and the public as an internationally recognized speaker on GMOs and their health effects on humans and their environment. In 1992 he founded two companies to help family farmers reduce their dependency on chemicals and collaborates with scientists around the world for sustainable solutions. He a husband to his wonderful wife Pam of 32 years, and father of 3 young adult children and proud grandfather of one.
"Howard Vlieger is one of the most knowledgeable agricultural practitioners regarding the GMO issue and issues related to glyphosate and other GMO-linked inputs. His knowledge base relates not only to GMO crops themselves and their impacts on soil quality and fertility, but also to the impacts of GMO crop consumption on the health and nutritional well-being of livestock. His knowledge and experience is relevant, not only to the US but globally." - John Fagan PhD. Cornell University, senior staff scientist fellow at the National Institutes of Health for 5 years, postdoctoral fellow for 3 years.
“ Vlieger is a highly qualified spokesperson on the interactions of GMOs, and the glyphosate chemical that 85 % of GMOs are engineered to tolerate, with soil, crop, animal, and human health. He has been a long-time researcher on this topic with publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals and farm publications. As a result of his first-hand involvement in the research, Howard can share a depth of information and understanding as a scientist- producer, consultant and consumer that few others can. His insight will motivate greater study and active involvement in the pressing issues that are responsible for the deteriorating health of our society. I recommend that everyone should hear his message and have an opportunity to draw their own conclusions on the best way to maintain agricultural sustainability because agriculture is the most critical infrastructure for any society." - Don M. Huber Professor Emeritus of Plant Pathology, Purdue University 9322 Big Foot RoadMelba, Idaho 83641(208) 615-1710
“Howard Vlieger is a third generation family farmer. He coordinated and co-authored the only scientific study of its kind, in which identical groups of hogs were fed GMO and non GMO grain for the entirety of their lives. The results of his study have rocked the farming world. Howard is an internationally recognized speaker on the topic of farming and GMOs, and serves on the board of directors for the Farm & Ranch Freedom Alliance and the Council for Healthy Food Systems. Get a first-hand, real-life account straight from the farmer’s mouth. If you’ve ever wondered what is really happening on the frontlines with GMOs and farming, his talk is a must!" - John Robbins Bestselling author, social activist, and humanitarian. Recipient of the Rachel Carson Award, the Albert Schweitzer Humanitarian Award, the Peace Abbey's Courage of Conscience Award, and Green America's Lifetime Achievement Award.
