ABOUT DOCS IN PROGRESS
Docs In Progress gives individuals the tools to tell stories through documentary film to educate, inspire, and transform the way people view their world. By developing, encouraging, and celebrating new and diverse voices in documentary film, Docs In Progress also seeks to deepen the public’s experience, understanding, and appreciation for documentary as a form of art and expression. The organization does this by offering an array of programs and services aimed at aspiring and experienced documentary filmmakers and the broader community, including educational programs for adults and youth, fellowships, pitching workshops, work-in-progress screenings, and the Community Stories Festival.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY STORIES FESTIVAL
Docs In Progress is all about building community through documentary film, but we are proud to be based in the vibrant, diverse, and historic communities of Silver Spring, Montgomery County, and the broader Washington DC Metropolitan Area. We have showcased short documentaries about these communities since 2010. Tonight's program screening is part of of the Ninth Annual Community Stories Festival taking place between November 8-14.
