Come see short documentaries about local people, places, and happenings from across the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Come meet the filmmakers, some of the folks featured in the films, and celebrate community stories.
**PLEASE NOTE that ASL interpretation will be provided for tonight's screening and Q&As. All films will be open captioned.

The Tastee Diner Story

The Tastee Diner in downtown Silver Spring has been an important part of the local community since 1935. It's the personal touch and history that makes this historic place truly special. Created by students in the 2019 Docs in Progress Youth Summer Filmmaking Camp.
Flying V: A Community Theatre's Beating Heart

Docs In Progress is all about building community through documentary film, but we are proud to be based in the vibrant, diverse, and historic communities of Silver Spring, Montgomery County, and the broader Washington DC Metropolitan Area. We have showcased short documentaries about these communities since 2010. Tonight's program screening is part of of the 10th Annual Community Stories Festival.
