Event description

Description

New York is just one of a handful of states that is at the forefront of solar energy policy with its new community solar program. In this program, anybody who pays an electric bill will have a chance to buy solar energy from a nearby project and get the same benefits as if they put the project on their roof. Community solar brings solar to renters, small businesses, and anybody who can't or wont install equipment on their roof.

Come find out exactly how the program in New York works and what's in it for you and your community. This event is hosted by the Hendrick Hudson Free Library and OurPower.Solar, an educational web portal put together by two socially conscious green energy companies, Neighborhood Sun and Bullfrog Power.

The event will be held in the Constance Dyckman Community Room upstairs in the library. An elevator is available.
