Building the Pyramids
Speaker: Joey Cross, PhD candidate in Hebrew Bible and Egyptology
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only member of the Seven Wonders of the World that still stands, but did you know that there are over 30 pyramids from Ancient Egypt, and that pyramids were built for more than 1,000 years? The Pyramids of Ancient Egypt are some of the largest and most impressive structures mankind has ever built. Enigmatic as they seem, however, Egyptologists and archaeologists have unlocked their mysteries over the past centuries. Separate fact from fiction and learn what the pyramids were, how they were built, and why the Ancient Egyptians sacrificed so much to build them.
