Community of Hope/Open Table Information Night
Event Information
Description
Imagine being 18 and on your own. Cleveland has 120 young people leaving foster care each year. Community of Hope has been running the Open Table Initiative to provide support to these youth for 3 years, and we need your help as we expand our work.
Community of Hope's mission is to create lasting relationships between volunteers and youth who have experienced foster care. We surround each youth with 5-6 mentors, and we meet with them 3-4 times a month for an hour to create a sense of belonging, family and community. Our goal is to match youth with mentors so that they have supportive people that they can trust as they grow up and grow together. With over 350 volunteers, and 48 communities we know that this is a life changing experience for everyone involved. Please join us for an hour on June 6th to learn more about the work and how you can get involved!!
