The Trustees and Staff of Foundation for MetroWest are pleased to announce the inaugural Community Leadership Breakfast titled “Business Leaders and Community Philanthropy: An Important Partnership.”
Our keynote speaker, Dr. Leonard A. Schlesinger, President of Babson College, will address the opportunity that businesses have to connect with their communities to strengthen and enhance the quality of life for all citizens. At Babson, President Schlesinger shows strong leadership through his commitment to building partnerships to create stronger communities and a better world.
Event honorees Maureen and Ted English will be recognized for their long-term commitment to philanthropy in MetroWest. They have demonstrated their devotion to the region by supporting both the Foundation for MetroWest, as well as many local nonprofit organizations. As former CEO of TJX in Framingham and current CEO of Bob’s Discount Furniture, Ted is described as a focused, innovative and compassionate person. Ted currently serves on several nonprofit boards and has received numerous awards for commitment to leadership, education, and youth.
The Community Leadership Breakfast will be chaired by John Heerwagen, Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Middlesex Savings Bank and trustee of the Foundation.
