About this event
In this launch event, the editors and authors of the volume 'Contemporary British Fiction: From Blair to Brexit' discuss how contemporary British fiction is making a striking contribution to the reimagining of community in Britain. How, we ask, does fiction account for the challenges to empathy and ethics that emerge in the precarious conditions of changing national identity, gender politics, the covid-19 pandemic, and economic crisis. And how, equally, might fiction present alternate modes of living together which offer new routes for imagining the world we live in?
