Description

Do you work for a non-profit looking for ideas on how to put together a sponsorship request? Or do you work for a business looking to make a meaningful impact in the community through sponsorship and community involvement?

Join us on April 3 for an insightful panel discussion with senior staff from some of Saskatchewan’s leading socially responsible organizations. You will learn about how they create meaningful partnerships with organizations and groups in the local community, and what they look for in non-profit organizations who apply for assistance.

Participating in the panel:

  • Cara Bahr, Community Engagement Manager, Affinity Credit Union
    Cara graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001 with a Bachelors of Arts in sociology. In 2002 she obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting. Cara is a CPA CMA and also holds a CIA designation. Cara has worked with a variety of businesses in the areas of project accounting, foreign currency management, internal audit, corporate social responsibility and community investment. She currently works for Affinity Credit Union as the Community Engagement Manager. Cara is a dedicated community volunteer and has served on several non-profit Boards. Currently, Cara is the Chair of Saskatoon Industry Education Council, and Finance Chair of Interval House Board of Directors. Cara and her husband Scott, live in Saskatoon with their children Spencer, Chloe, Jasmyne, Lena and a sweet geriatric pug named Chin.
  • Jonathan Huntington, Vice-President of Sustainability and Stakeholder Relations, Cameco Corporation
    Jonathan Huntington is Cameco’s Vice-President of Sustainability and Stakeholder Relations, overseeing government relations, communications and community investment projects. Recognized for his leadership in community development – earning CBC Saskatchewan’s Top 40 under 40 award – Jonathan reports directly to Cameco’s CEO & President Tim Gitzel. A graduate of the University of Regina’s School of Journalism and Communications, Jonathan is a proud Saskatchewan native with a passion for helping underprivileged citizens.
  • Natasha Ford, Manager of Social Responsibility, Federated Co-operatives Ltd.
    Leading FCL’s Social Responsibility Team, Natasha is responsible for managing the Co-operative Retailing System’s social responsibility programs and supporting FCL’s retail member co-ops with their local community giving initiatives. She has worked in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Investment for the majority of her career. She is fueled by working for purpose-driven organizations that are committed to meaningful social impact, building their brands and driving engagement. Natasha received her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and has a certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Toronto.
  • Lillian Denton, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority
