Event description

Description

** Please note: this is a six-part class series held Monday eveings from 6-9pm, June 12th through July 17th. Registering here will sign you up for all six classes.

This class is intended for students who wish to understand the basics of community herbalsim (using easily-accessible plants within networks of friends, families, and other community groups). We will cover basics of herbal energetics, actions, and organ affinities; histories of herbal care; plant identification and wildcrafting; basic medicine-making; and, of course, detailed information about using a variety of local plants. We will focus on plants that already grow here and those that are easily cultivated by the beginner gardener.

Please email littleredbirdbotanicals@gmail.com with any questions.

Tickets are priced on a sliding scale. For more general info about my sliding scale, please see www.littleredbirdbotanicals.com/CSA-sliding-scale (note: the prices listed on this page are for a seperate program but the information given is relevent).

There is one work-trade position open for an individual to help set up and clean up before/after class each week. The position will be filled according to financial need; priority is given to individuals who qualify for public assistance and/or are otherwise unable to pay. Please contact me at the email above to inquire. Additional work-trdae positions may be considered for washing bottles and jars or other apothecary tasks.

Thanks for reading! I look forward to meeting you and exploring the plant world together.
