Golf Ireland are delighted to continue the rollout of our Community Golf Instructor course with our upcoming course taking place at University of Limerick Sports Arena (with two online classrooms prior) on Sunday 7th December at 09:00. This course has been set up to create a dedicated new workforce to help grow the game in communities across Ireland and the United Kingdom, with the focus of getting golf into schools, communities and more beginner activity into golf clubs.
Upon completion of the course, instructors will be able to lead beginner and introductory activities independently, working in a paid or voluntary capacity, without it affecting their ‘amateur status’ as a golfer.
This programme has been designed in collaboration with all Home Nation Associations (Scottish Golf, Wales Golf, Golf Ireland & England Golf), the Golf Foundation, along with support from the PGA and the R&A.
*Please note, to become an Approved Community Golf Instructor, you must have Garda Vetting/Access NI done through Golf Ireland, complete a Sport Ireland Safeguarding level one course and have appropriate levels of public liability insurance to act independently.
