About this Event

Community Girl Talk with A Step Ahead Foundation image

Girl Talk is an age appropriate, fun, and informative program for girls ages 13-18, with sessions about abstinence, healthy relationships, and hygiene. We discuss how to say NO and how the female reproductive system works.

The April 17th session will cover STIs. In this session, the UT med students perform an STI presentation for the Girl Talk participant. This session covers the most common STIs and ways to prevent the transfer of STIs. The session also discusses what consent is, identifying appropriate consent, and how to have a conversation with a partner about sex. HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY.

This is a virtual session and registration is required. Once you register you will be sent a link to the virtual session 1 day prior to and on the day of the session.

***Must have a parent complete and sign this waiver prior to session to participate. Click here to complete the waiver.***
