Event description

Description

Get in the gardening groove at our first gardening class of the year! You will learn all about starting your own seeds including tips + how-tos as well as a timeline for when to start different seeds. Feel free to bring seeds with you and come with any questions you might have. We recommend bringing paper and a pen to take notes, too!

In partnership with the University of Idaho Extension & Backyard Harvest, we are excited to offer a Community Gardening Class Series. Classes will be a mixture of information and hands-on instruction. They will be held at various locations around the community and hands-on application will be practiced at our Grow-op plot located within the Hamilton Community Gardens in Moscow. Each month will feature a different topic and, once it warms up a bit, participants are invited to stick around after the classes to help work in the shared garden plot too! The Grow-Op plot is a gardening space dedicated to providing education and fresh produce for our community - everything grown and gleaned is harvested by volunteers or donated to local food banks!
