About this Event

Join the Engage Committee and Emerge Broward members for our Community Garden Day with the Dania Beach PATCH! The PATCH (People’s Access to Community Horticulture) is a community market garden that grows fresh, healthy, and pesticide-free fruits and vegetables to improve access to these foods for neighboring residents and those in need of access to these foods.

We’ll be helping work on this urban farm by planning, weeding, watering, and harvesting. Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and are advised to bring a hat, sunscreen, gloves, and refillable water bottles. The PATCH will be providing ice water and some gardening and latex gloves for volunteers.

We will end our volunteer day at Quarterdeck (300 N Beach Road Dania, FL 33004). Each volunteer will received on drink!

This is an Emerge Broward members-only event. (Not a member and interested in joining? Visit our website at www.emergebroward.org and join easily online prior to registering for this event).

DATE: September 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

LOCATION: Dania Beach PATCH (1201 NW 1st St, Dania Beach, FL 33004). Please follow the address and park in the parking lot on the North side then walk through the patch to check-in at the pavilion to receive instruction on our activities as a group.
