Community Firefly Walk
Date and time
Description
Looking across a field of twinkling fireflies, anything is possible. Sitting around a fire generates a unique sense of community. Whatever your age, heritage or circumstances, we are all human under the night sky. Nature sets the backdrop for an evening of community building, learning, caring and fun.
Activities: Make a fun firefly craft, eat a s’more around the fire, and learn about fireflies. P.J. Liesch, UW-Madison’s Entomologist a.k.a. “The bug guy,” will be on hand to explain what makes fireflies light up. Our special guests includes off-duty officers from the Madison Police Department.
Bring a jar with holes in the lid.
