Community Engagement through the Lens of Criminal Justice Reform
The Inn at Henderson’s Wharf, Baltimore, Maryland
Event Description
As part of the City Accelerator initiative, we would like to invite you to attend a discussion about the state of community engagement in American cities, with a special focus on the criminal justice system and the process of reentry. The conversation will be led by local community and civic leaders in Baltimore, with respondents from the City Accelerator cohort cities.
In the context of the recent uprising, there is a wealth of local knowledge about what works and what doesn’t to build necessary foundations for community trust and action. Join us for a frank and honest conversation about community engagement in Baltimore and its implications for a national dialogue about the roles and responsibilities of local government.
Panel guests include:
- Scott Gottbreht – United Way of Central Maryland, Impact Strategies, Project Homeless Connect
- James Timpson – Health Department, Safe Streets
- Renard Brooks - Baltimore City Reentry Coordinator
- Odis Daniels - Baltimore Police Department
There will be a reception following the panel.
