Community Engaged Learning Faculty Development Sessions
The MSU Center for Service-Learning and Civic Engagement (CSLCE) has a community engaged learning faculty development series focused on equipping MSU faculty and instructors to develop and teach a course with community engaged learning.
Each session will begin with a light lunch and a 45 minute presentation on the topic listed below. Following the presentation, one hour will be devoted to course development; during this time, the CSLCE academic staff will offer consultation with faculty and instructors to support them with their community engaged learning preparation efforts. All sessions are FREE.

Developing & Sustaining Community Partnerships
Friday, February 17, 12-2 pm
Join us to learn more about developing and sustaining partnerships with community organizations for the purpose of community engaged teaching & learning. The session will feature quality practices, tips, and resources for MSU faculty and instructors looking to develop domestic or international partnerships.
Lunch, presentation, and consultations will happen in Brody Dining Room. Plan to meet outside the entrance to Brody Dining Hall at 11:45 am.
Preparing for Meaningful Community Engagement
Friday, April 7, 12-2pm
What do you need to prepare for community engaged teaching & learning? This session will feature quality practices, tips, and resources for MSU faculty and instructors on how they can prepare themselves, community organizations and their students for a quality community engagement experience.
Lunch and presentation will begin in Brody Room 175. After the presentation, we will head to Kellogg Center- Room 93 for the consultation and course development activities.
Learning through Reflection
Friday, June 16, 12-2pm
Reflection is an essential element of community engaged teaching and learning, as it facilitates connections between community engagement experiences and course content. This session will prepare MSU faculty and instructors to prepare themselves to develop and lead reflection activities that support student learning.
Lunch and presentation will begin in Brody (Room TBD). After the presentation, we will head to Kellogg Center- Room 93 for the consultation and course development activities.
