Event description

Description

The 7th Annual Community Development Workshop is an opportunity to learn from leaders in community development, collaborate with other neighborhood changemakers, and be empowered to transform your community.

The morning session will feature Youth Speak by Youth Ambassadors, a non-profit, strength-based employment program serving teenagers in the Kansas City metropolitan area, followed by four breakout tracks to choose from. The tracks—Affordable Housing, Community Engagement, Healthy Communities, Neighborhood Safety—will offer a discussion of opportunities and challenges, as well as connections to local resources and available tools.

Registration is free but required, with an option to donate available. Donations directly support this event. Breakfast, coffee, and lunch are provided to all registered participants. The Community Development Workshop is open to neighborhood, government, and nonprofit leaders, residents, grassroots activists, and other community stakeholders from both KS and MO.

** PLEASE NOTE: attendees must register for this event individually.

The workshop is organized by the Community Capital Fund, in partnership with Greater Kansas City LISC, Livable Neighborhoods, and the Center for Neighborhoods.

A big thank you to our sponsors, whose contributions make the Community Development Workshop possible:
