The world of miso can be compared to the world of wine, with its complexities and diverse flavors. This introductory class will give participants the confidence to make miso at home using different types of legumes and other ingredients. Participants will go home with a jar of miso to ferment and age at home.
Pull into the fermentation station with Trevor Ring of Community Cultures in a 5 part fermentation series at the East End Food Co-op this spring/summer!
DIRECTIONS: this event will take place in the EEFC Conference Room. Please reference the map to locate the room. You'll need to enter through the Factory door by Gymkhana and the Fencing Club, as the Penn Avenue entrance locks at 5:00 PM.

Trevor Ring is the founder of Community Cultures. He has worked for numerous fermentation businesses, created various fermentation CSAs, and has taught fermentation workshops for nearly a decade. He is most excited about sharing his knowledge of fermentation and utilizing seasonal and regional ingredients to inspire his ferments. You can find his fermented sodas at the Bloomfield Market this summer!
