About this event

During this unprecedented time, COVID-19 has changed the lifestyle of many people across the world. Less privileged people such as orphans, elderly, and health-challenged individuals, such as HIV/ AIDS patients, are more affected by this global pandemic across Tanzania. While physically fit and low risk individuals are doing their daily work to earn income, less privileged ones have to isolate themselves to avoid COVID-19 contagion. These people lack essential needs such as food supply, sanity items, and medical supplies. In this time of crisis, those that are unaffected with income surplus could make a significant impact in the life of the less fortunate.

This crisis threatens everyone’s way of life but it is especially difficult for people who are already vulnerable, including those with pre-existing medical conditions, seniors with no families, individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees and migrants, low wage workers and those with inflexible jobs, including teachers.

Your donation to this fund will help stop the virus’ spread and give community NGOs and health care workers at the frontlines of the crisis the resources they need to act quickly and protect the most vulnerable. Donations are aimed-

To send doctors, nurses and other frontline responders to communities in need of masks, ventilators, and other lifesaving medical supplies to hospitals and clinics.

Deliver essential items to struggling families and older individuals in communities and refugee camps.

Feed children that are in orphanage centres and others that rely on school meals as their only source of nutrition.

Support hygiene awareness efforts and much, much more…

As the situation evolves, the fund will transition to support longer-term recovery and education efforts run by local, vetted organizations in affected regions.

We will work with our partners on ground to allocate Funds where they are mostly needed.

Long-Term Impact

We believe organizations that are deeply rooted in local communities are best positioned to lead long-term plans to stop COVID-19. Your donation to this fund will help build stronger response capacities in communities around the world so that we are all better equipped to face future outbreaks. We will send you regular updates about how your donation has been put to use.
