Speaker Bios

Lisa Menckhoff has been with Northwestern Mutual DC since 2004, much of that time as Head of Compliance and Counsel to the Managing Partner. She now has her own financial planning practice where she provides a mindful approach in delivering financial security to her clients by helping them align financial habits with their long-term financial priorities.

Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual Lisa worked for various NGOs empowering and supporting day-to-day living for people with disabilities and as a corporate attorney at a large law firm doing mostly international private equity finance and real estate deals.

Lisa has lived on four continents and originally moved to the USA in 1981. She lives in Chevy Chase with her Partner and nine-year-old son. Lisa enjoys the community of her close-knit neighborhood and the wide variety of educational and cultural events that abound in the DC Area. A great weekend is one connecting with family and friends over food and conversation and enjoying the great outdoors.

Lisa Marie Goodson has her own financial planning practice with Northwestern Mutual in downtown Washington, D.C. and works diligently to educate individuals, families, and business owners on strategic practices regarding financial health and wellness.

Lisa Marie earned her undergraduate degree in cultural anthropology from The George Washington University, her Master of Business Administration from Trinity Washington University, and her doctorate in nutritional sciences from Howard University.

As a fourth generation native Washingtonian, Lisa Marie has always enjoyed the cultural, academic, and artistic events and opportunities that this city has to offer. She enjoys strolling the National Mall with her twin sister after visiting her favorite art galleries and museums.

Nicole Pinko is a corporate analyst and engagement specialist with the Climate & Energy program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. She works on accountability campaigns for fossil fuel companies, including overseeing corporate campaign research, facilitating rapid responses to developments in and around the fossil fuel industry, cultivating investor and shareholder allies, engaging directly with UCS campaign targets, and writing reports.

Prior to joining UCS, Ms. Pinko was a senior associate at Institutional Shareholder Services, Inc., where she advised socially responsible investors on environmental, social, and governance issues, and developed metrics to identify climate change risks.
