Community Conversation with Sarah Iannarone & Mark Lakeman
Event Information
About this Event
Our civic fabric is frayed; we need to repair it and come together to tackle the challenges we face. Between now and the primary election in May 2020, Friends of Sarah for Portland Mayor will be co-hosting a series of community conversations with civic leaders through which we come together to discuss challenging ideas from a position of mutual respect and benefit.
Portland once saw great gains in the areas of downtown redevelopment, transit investments, environmental protections, and healthy democracy undergirded by an engaged, educated populace willing come together in challenging conversations about a radically different path than the one we were on at the time. Join Sarah Iannarone, candidate for Portland Mayor and co-founder of the Arleta Triangle Project and Mark Lakeman, architect at Communitecture and co-founder of the City Repair Project in a discussion about Portland's past, present, and future investments in placemaking, the commons, civil society, and a healthy democracy.
This is a benefit for Friends of Sarah for Portland (sarah2020.com) with suggested donation of $5-250 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
