Online event
This month, HNY invites you to reflect on the historical and ongoing intersections between racial justice and the American landscape.
About this event
HNY begins May with a virtual Community Conversation examining topics discussed during our last "Land, Liberty, and Loss" event, featuring Professor Melissane Schrems.
At this free, online conversation we will discuss the historical and ongoing intersections between racial justice, including the centuries-long deprivations endured by Indigenous and Black bodies and the evolution of the American landscape.
HNY’s Virtual Community Conversations unite people from across New York State to discuss issues of historical and contemporary significance through a humanities lens, strengthening community through shared dialogue, critical thinking, and reflection.
The one-hour, Zoom-based conversation will be built around a brief reading that will spark conversation and will be facilitated by a member of HNY's team.
