Description:
Learn about the past, present, and potential futures of synthetic biology - a rapidly evolving field that applies engineering practices to biological systems. A short opening presentation will be followed by conversation of experts and practitioners. They will discuss ways they are collaborating among diverse disciplines and communities around the world to design biological approaches to solving problems. Rapid progressions also raise important questions about equity, sustainability, and security that need the inclusion of diverse perspectives. Share your ideas and questions about how everyone and everywhere can help to envision and shape the futures of this fast-changing field.
