Let’s Talk About It!
A discussion of the new book by David and Nic Sheff, High: Everything You Want to Know About Drugs, Alcohol, and Addiction.
How does substance abuse impact individuals, families and our community?
Marin Healthy Youth Partnerships and the Mill Valley Public Library invite you to a discussion of High: Everything You Want to Know About Drugs, Alcohol, and Addiction, the new book about drugs, alcohol, and addiction by David and Nic Sheff. High provides reliable information on drugs and alcohol so teens and parents can make educated decisions. In addition to information about drugs, High gives readers strategies to deal with the stress and peer pressure that may lead to drug use. It also serves to raise awareness and create more empathy for those who struggle with substance use disorder and mental health diagnoses.
All ages are welcome to join the conversation. The book is targeted for students in middle school and above. Registration is not required, however space is limited.
Copies of the book are available to borrow at libraries throughout Marin County.
